PICK YOUR FIGHTS
Best Soul Food Plate
The plate that tastes like somebody's grandmother is in the back. Judged on the food, not the decor.
Best Day Party
Sunday afternoon done right. The set, the crowd, the energy, and whether you would actually go back next weekend.
Best Brunch
The 1pm table, the drinks that actually get refilled, and the plate you would order again on purpose.
Best Barbershop
The cut, the chair, the conversation, and the place that has been holding down the same corner for years.
Best Live Music Venue
Where the sound is right, the room respects the artist, and Black Atlanta actually shows up for live music.
Best Black-Owned Coffee Shop
The third place with a real espresso machine, working wifi, and a counter staff that knows your order.
Best Community Organization
The groups doing the unglamorous work — feeding, housing, tutoring, and showing up when nobody is filming.
Best Neighborhood Stroll
The strip worth walking on a Saturday — food, a record shop, a barber, and people who speak because they actually know you.
Best Fitness Studio
Where Black Atlanta actually trains — the coaches, the classes, and the room that makes you come back on a Monday.
Best HBCU Tailgate
The lot, the spread, the band, and the four hours before the game that are honestly the whole point.
Best Late-Night Kitchen
The kitchen that is still taking orders when the rest of the city has gone home, and doing it well enough to be worth the drive.
Best Black-Owned Art Gallery
Where the city's visual artists show and sell — the rooms that put Black Atlanta work on walls instead of in storage.
Best Black-Owned Boutique
The independent shop with a point of view — designer labels, local makers, and a staff that will actually style you.
Best Rooftop Hangout
The view, the crowd, and whether the drink actually justifies the elevator ride.
Best Legacy Business
The Black-owned business that has outlasted every reason it should not have, and is still standing on the same corner.
Best Annual Community Festival
The weekend the whole side of town turns out — food, vendors, music, and the one cousin nobody can find.

HOW A WINNER IS DECIDED
01
Nominations open
Anyone can nominate, including the business or person themselves. Nominations are reviewed before they appear.
02
Editors verify
Duplicates merge. Places that have closed, moved, or cannot be confirmed come off the list with a note.
03
The city votes
Voting opens on a published window. One vote per device per category, and the tally is visible while voting runs.
04
Results publish
Winners are published with the final counts and the full methodology. Sponsors are labeled and never decide a result.
Sponsorship
A sponsor can present a category. A sponsor cannot enter a category they present, cannot see the tally before the public does, and cannot change a result. Every sponsored category carries the disclosure on the category page itself.
Fairness and abuse
One vote per device per category, plus a cap on how many votes a single network can cast in a category. Votes from organized push campaigns that break those caps are removed with a note on the category page.
SOMEONE BEING SLEPT ON?
